First post of 2009

I can't believe I am going to be 40 this year. Wow. This is the big one, folks.

(I realize that there are readers who are already 40 or older but this is the first time I've been 40 so cut me some slack...)

I'm not sure what direction to take this blog. More personal? The usual mishmash? Who knows? All I know is that my boss' unknown nickname is "Old Yeller" because she yells at me from across the hall to come to her office. I am being mega careful with respect to writing about work because this is a new job and I don't want to step on any toes or anything like that. In this day and age, I'm thankful to have a job and don't want to screw it up.

So on that note, I'm off in search of more topics.
