And now, from the "Don't Celebrities have ANYTHING Better To Do?" files and Yahoo! News...

(Sudiegirl's note: OK, this is why I prefer Warner Brothers to Disney, because Warner Bros. KNOWS their characters are beloved, and they don't need to do stupid polls to figure out which celebrity likes which character. I think Robert Klein said it best when he said, "Bugs Bunny is who we want to be, but Daffy Duck is who we are." At least, I THINK that's how he phrased it. Anyway, snotty comments are interspersed as usual, and if you don't hear from me after this, it's because the Disney thugs came to my house to beat my ass up and Millie (my Maine Coon Cat) did them in. So I'll be transporting my outlaw cat to Mexico or something...wait, I'm getting ahead of myself...just read the damned comments!)

Poll: Celebrities Identify With Goofy
Mon Jul 11,12:47 PM ET
NEW YORK -
John Stamos, Kelsey Grammer and Jim Belushi are goofy for Goofy, while David Arquette, Peyton Manning and Terry Bradshaw are daffy about Donald Duck, according to a recent Disney survey.
(I never thought Kelsey Grammer as a "Goofy" type...although after the many brushes he's had with driving while intoxicated, maybe it makes sense. BTW, who is Peyton Manning, and why should I care if he/she/it likes Donald Duck? I like Donald Duck because he reminds me of my sister. Sorry, Ruthi...sad but true...)

In a poll of 45 actors, musicians and athletes, 20 percent most identified with the Disney animated character Goofy. Non-celebrities agreed, with 15 percent of 8,000 consumer respondents also selecting Mickey Mouse's best friend as the character they relate to the most.
(Minnie's gonna be pissed when she finds out that GOOFY is his best friend. It'll be a cold Christmas at their house...)

Oprah Winfrey topped the list of the most desired Disney celebrity travel companion, at 16 percent. Clint Eastwood placed second with 11 percent, and Julie Andrews was third, with 8 percent.
(OK, I guess I'd like to go to Disneyland with Julie Andrews, the original "Mary Poppins", but Oprah Winfrey? Clint Eastwood? I'm sorry...Oprah would try to take over the park, and I just can't imagine traipsing around the Land that Walt Built with Dirty Harry. Now, if we could go into the "Small World" ride and have Clint use it as a shooting gallery, THAT'D be a good time! Oh yeah, Baby!)

Other survey results revealed singers Avril Lavigne and Ashanti know the words to "It's a Small World." (Yes, but do they know the National Anthem? Go to www.thenationalanthemproject.org to read what I'm talking about.)

Arquette and his wife, Courteney Cox, both picked The Haunted Mansion as their favorite attraction. (After seeing a couple of Arquette's movies, I'm not surprised he likes that place.)

Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts hired independent research firm Directive Analytics to conduct the "Golden Ears" survey in honor of Disneyland's 50th anniversary July 17.
(Too bad they couldn't use the money spent on research to actually pay the Disney characters more than minimum wage! Oops, did I say that? Here come the Disney thugs pounding on my door.)

Sudiegirl's opinion?

  • Tom Cruise - The Mad Hatter
  • Katie Holmes - The March Hare (always seen with The Mad Hatter)
  • Liza Minnelli - The Red Queen
  • Martha Stewart - Cruella DeVil
  • Matthew McConaghey - The Caterpillar (that smoked the hookah)

That's all I can think of for now...please let me know of your ideas.

Disnily yours,
