Musings of a chick: One of my role models, plus a few fun "Sudiefacts"

To my left is Velma Dinkley from "Scooby Doo". Her role was one of my first dramatic roles - in the 2nd grade, we were coached by the high school drama classes to put on our own plays. My group chose "Scooby Doo". Basically, if the part called for someone chubby with glasses, I was there. I also played Marcie from "Peanuts".

Anyway, the past few weeks have been fun for me...making new friends, finding bizarre stuff off of the internet and commenting snottily on it. But people are wondering, "Who IS Sudiegirl? What makes her tick? Why the hell should we care anyway?" Well, you know what? I'm gonna tell you anyway, and if you don't want to read it go to the next entry. There. Guess I showed you! So anyway, onward, fair readers...

If you list my entire name, including maiden and previous married name, it would be Sue Ellen Dawson Wilson Hegstrom. Not as long as some, but longer than others. That's why I just use the most recent name.
My name was ALMOST Celestial Beauty...that was in the good old days when they still gave ether to mothers in labor. I'm kind of bummed that Dad talked Mom out of it, but maybe I'll become a stripper someday and it'll be my stage name. I don't think anyone's using it.

Favorite food...Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby ice cream, hands down. I like a lot of other things, but it's the only food that can bring a smile to my face.
I went on a blind date with one of the Brandt twins (both UI students, and one of them won a gold medal in the Olympics). It was a bust...we didn't have anything in common, but my folks about died when I told them. Unfortunately, they were identical, so I can't tell you which one it was.
Favorite booze: strawberry daiquiri, Heineken, or white wine spritzers.
Favorite bookstore: Barnes & Noble (cause my man gets a discount there...)
Favorite children's book: Anything by Dr. Seuss, also Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst, anything by Laura Ingalls Wilder or Judy Blume.
Favorite cartoon character: Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny (WB); Tom & Jerry (MGM); Barney Rubble and Muttley (Hanna-Barbera); Fat Albert (Filmation); Ren and Stimpy (Spumco); Rocko and Heffer (NickToons). And you thought I could just pick one? My list, my rules.
Best concerts I've been to: Paul Simon "Born at the Right Time" tour 1991, Bonnie Raitt Tour (1999), Austin Lounge Lizards (2000)
Worst concerts I've been to: Whitney Houston (1987), Robert Palmer (1989)
First memory: Sitting on my dad's lap, reading the funnies.
What's on my computer monitor: a post-it note that says "Holy Farglesnot!" and a sketch done by my man of my cat Chelmsford.
