Oh, the things I can say about this...
(Sudiegirl sez...the picture to the left is me before I get in the shower and get ready for my day. No apologies will be made for the content of my comments, because this is the dumbest thing I think I have ever heard. And of course, who thought of it? Educators! Not that I'm against teachers...teachers everywhere are underappreciated for their role in society...but seriously, this just really gets on my last nerve. Do they really think changing a word will mean that much? We've been doing that since human beings acquired the powers of speech and it is hit and miss at best. Snotty comments are enclosed, but then again, you all know that!)
Get ready to e-mail this one to your friends... (Oh, I did one better!)

LONDON (Reuters) - The word "fail" should be banned from use in British classrooms and replaced with the phrase "deferred success" to avoid demoralizing pupils, a group of teachers has proposed. (And remember, folks, those who can, do...)
Members of the Professional Association of Teachers (PAT) argue that telling pupils they have failed can put them off learning for life. (That, I agree with...)
A spokesman for the group said it wanted to avoid labeling children. "We recognize that children do not necessarily achieve success first time," he said. (Oh, like adults DO? Ask any man who has tried to make it with a woman after he's had a few drinks. It gives new meaning to the word "flop".)
"But I recognize that we can't just strike a word from the dictionary," he said. (No, and what would that be termed anyway if you can't use the word "fail"?)
The PAT said it would debate the proposal at a conference next week. (OK, but what will happen if one side wins and the other one does not? What will you call the "not winning" side of the debate? Huh? Huh?)
Sudiegirl's final thought?
"I'm a loser, baby, so why don't ya kill me?" (with props to Beck)
