Oddly Enough - Reuters
HOLLYWOOD (Reuters) - They really said it -- notable quotes from the news:

"Don't be polite. I don't like Tommy and Tommy doesn't like me. Tommy doesn't care to resolve things. I don't care. I have no feelings about it either way. You go to work and there's a guy in the office you don't like. You still do your job, huh?"
-- MOTLEY CRUE singer VINCE NEIL, on drummer TOMMY LEE, in the March issue of Blender.

Sudiegirl sez: Ya know, I really appreciate this kind of honesty in a rock band. Maybe I've judged Motley Crue too harshly. Who knew that drinking, drugging wife-beaters that use more eyeliner than Stevie Nicks or Tammy Fae Bakker could be so profound? Not me.

"I was first attracted to men actively when I was 13. I kind of had my first sexual awakening much earlier, with a brother/sister team with red hair in a bathtub on Easter Sunday ... I still have a thing for redheads and freckles."
-- R.E.M (news - web sites). singer MICHAEL STIPE, in Blender.

Sudiegirl sez: I'd better run. Maybe I'm not a guy, but mentioning brother/sister team with red hair and freckles scares the crap out of your fave blogger with titian tresses.

"To them I'm just a mom who drives them crazy. I've been in Playboy, sure, but I can still be lunch monitor at their school on Wednesdays. My kids couldn't care less."
--PAMELA ANDERSON, quoted in the New York Post on how she balances being a sex symbol and mother to 7- and 8-year-old sons.

Sudiegirl sez: Well, I don't know if it's the kids I would worry about at this point. Maybe the gym teacher who feels you really need assistance carrying lunch trays, or the principal wants to measure you for your complimentary lunch monitor thong bikini?

"What worries me the most about the Oscars (news - web sites) is that my shoes are going to kill my feet. A list of thank-yous isn't much of an acceptance speech, so perhaps I should stand up there and tell everyone about the foot clinic I'm about to go visit."

--Best actress nominee IMELDA STAUNTON of "Vera Drake" in the New York Daily News.
Sudiegirl sez: Ah, a woman after my own heart. Go Imelda!!!!

And finally, a blurb on something that I will not be sarcastic about...Ossie Davis passed away at the age of 87. He was one of my favorite actors...he had a great, dignified speaking voice, was very talented, and was a loving husband and father figure. If you want to know what I mean by "great, dignified speaking voice", rent "Malcolm X" (Spike Lee film) and listen to him deliver the eulogy (off-screen) at the end. Truly beautiful.

And now, with a womp-bomp-a-loo-bop, a womp-bam-boom, I remain
