Thursday thoughts
Jeez, ya know, I thought that since I announced my engagement on my blog that the world would stop for me.
No such luck, y’all…
So here’s my take on recent pop culture, celebrity type happenings:
- Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney broke up. Two thoughts on that:
- So much for that “You complete me” crap. It’s kind of hard to complete someone in four months. Then again, you know how men are about reading instructions…ar ar. I think she left him because she found out what’s REALLY underneath his cowboy hat.
Britney Spears had a baby boy. Let’s hope that Daddy can figure out which end the diaper’s supposed to go on while Mommy’s at the Galleria.
Donald Trump is set to make his soap opera debut. THIS is why I keep looking for a full-time permanent position in which to excel so I don’t have to be exposed to this crap!
On a sadder note, the director of “The Sound of Music” and “West Side Story” (the films, not the stage shows), as well as the editor of the classic film “Citizen Kane”, passed today. Robert Wise was an incredible film maker, and he has left behind some wonderful visuals.I joke about this, but yet in a way I’m serious – sometimes, when I lose my faith in God, all I have to do is watch “Lawrence of Arabia” (especially the panoramic desert scenes) and my faith is renewed. Why? Because for someone to be able to capture a beautiful image like that and be willing to share it with the world instead of keeping it to oneself, that is indeed a blessing. Sorry to get religious, but I just have to every once in a while. So be it.
On that note, gentle readers, I bid you adieu. (That means “Catch ya later” in French.)
Culturally aware and loving it,
Sudiegirl
