And now, from the "what do you do when your prime minister goes heavy on the blush" files and Yahoo! News

Sudiegirl's note...attached is a picture of Tony Blair (on the right) and his celebrity stylist (on the left). But seriously, I know that makeup for men is important for TV interviews and what not, but men usually don't need as much as women in order to look their best on TV, do they? That is, unless there's something we don't know about Tony Blair. I'm just a dumb Yank, I guess, but I don't think I've spent that much money on makeup in that short a time span. It better be good stuff, or else he's getting ripped off. Someone call Mary Kay, QUICK! The usual snotty comments are enclosed.

Blair Spent $3,130 on Makeup in Six Years
Sun Jul 24,11:13 AM ET
LONDON - British Prime Minister Tony Blair has spent more than 1,800 pounds (US$3,130) of taxpayers' money on makeup and cosmetic artists over the past six years, according to the government. (Actually, it comes out to less than $45/month, which in a way makes sense because he's not technically using as much as a female would so his would last longer, right?)

In a written answer to Parliament, the government revealed Blair's Downing Street office had spent 1,050.22 pounds (US$1,826.66) on cosmetics for the prime minister's media appearances since 1999. In the past two years, a further 791.20 pounds (US$1,376.14) had been spent on makeup artists. (Again, that makes sense too...a good makeup artist will cost you, but you will reap benefits in terms of your image in the media. Ya gotta admit, Tony Blair is better looking than John Major.)

The details were released by government official Lord Bassam in a written response to a question tabled by Lord Hanningfield, a member of the main opposition Conservative Party. (Oh boy...I wonder how many times Lord Bassam had to ask his wife how much a tube of concealer costs, on the average? Not a question most heteros can easily answer.)
Sudiegirl's final opinion?
I'm not sure what the motives of the Conservative Party are, but what a stupid point to argue about! Get a grip, and pass the foundation.
I'm sure Mary Kay is smiling on Tony Blair right now...probably because her face is stuck that way, but anyway...
Sudiegirl the naturally (?) beautiful.
